Its the weekend and if you're like me trying to catch up on your social media updates while you hope the time flies by so the weekend can begin welcome to the show, however if you are trying to catch up on the rest of the work for the week so that the weekend goes guilty free I got you.
There are a series of things I would like to talk about but I have to start from Helen Degeneres talk show. I have friend on Facebook that always share Helen's show clipping and I am always in tears like this one above.
Why the tears? Look at how blessed the receiver are? its not about the gift they are receiving or the public spotlight but these are ordinary people, special in their own ways but more than likely would go unnoticed. I am sure more than anything they may feel that Why Me? I don't know how Ellen selects them but she matches her gifting with their needs and want and trust me that isn't easy! I know that it is a business at the end of the day but the art of sharing an experience with multitude of people and all receiving different things is the beauty of ENTERTAINMENT!
Much respect Helen.
That is our objective with this page. There are too many extraordinary individuals doing things out there that needs to be celebrated. There are many things happening around us , with us and in us that we just get distracted and ignore the little picture. We all need that platform where you can just stand still and bask in acknowledgment of how not badly you are doing. For example did you hear of the Nigerian born Actor that was Knighted? Chiwetel Ejiofor . He had very ordinary live (no offence) but look at him today. Ok that may me someone already in the public view how about my friend and client, Tolulope Adegbite, mother of 2 CEO and Controller General of Kiddies Treasures - She has been able to raise and manage an e-commerce business that can rival with the big name both locally and abroad ( Business Spotlight coming soon).
There are many of us like this simple Extraordinary people, Heroes, role models-Great! Lets all keep our eyes open and do feel free to shed the spotlight on them. They need to be told that their are been noticed and appreciated.
